Friends

Well, now I know what not writing in forever does to your general writing ability. Even short little snippets I've written don't sound right, they don't have that emotion to them.

I'm even coming up short on ideas, big time. Every time I get an idea for a story, it doesn't go anywhere. I'm not planning to give up,  but it's definitely frustrating because I was able to do this before.

On the bright side, no more assignments until next week, so that should free up my schedule a little.

So this past weekend I went up to Youmacon up in Michigan.

I have to say, that out of all the cons I've been to, Youmacon is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I dunno, I guess it's the atmosphere of the whole place. There's always stuff going on and everything in general seems to be pretty cheerful. I felt kind of slothful throughout the con, which is a little unusual for me. I usually have more energy, but I guess my bad sleeping schedule with work and school finally caught up with me.

Anywho, I went as Professor Layton. There were a couple more Laytons roaming around, but everytime I saw them they disappeared pretty quickly. I think I was the only Layton walking around looking lost for most of the con. On the second two, I met and hung out with a couple of Lukes. It was a lot of fun and it's also nice to see more Professor Layton cosplayers around. My hat kept falling over my eyes though, I think next time I'm going to put something inside of it so it'll actually stay up on my head.

There was a nice disversity of cosplayers at this con too. It's a nice change then just seeing a bunch of cosplayers from one series walking around.

Overall it was a good con and I enjoyed myself, I just wish I wasn't so tired throughout the whole con. I got the Nostalgia Critic and Team Fourstar's signatures, but missed some other ones I wanted. Like LittleKuriboh and Brad Swaile. =( Maybe next year, hopefully?

Now I have to catch up on all my college work. Yikes. Also, I've completed a whole...0 words for Nano. This isn't going to end well I think... =/
